Privacy Policy

What data this site collects, why, and how it's handled — in plain language.

Overview

This website (kotsaras.dev) is the personal portfolio of Konstantinos Kotsaras. It is a static site with a single interactive feature — a contact form. I collect as little data as possible, never sell it, and only use it to reply to you.

Information I collect

  • Contact form. When you use the form on the Contact page, you provide your first name, last name, email address, an optional subject, and your message. This is sent directly to my inbox so I can respond.
  • Anti-spam verification. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell humans from bots. Google may process device and usage signals (and set its own cookies) for this purpose.
  • Server logs. The site is served by Google Firebase Hosting, which may log standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
  • Third-party assets. Fonts and icons are loaded from Google Fonts and Cloudflare (Font Awesome), and the form library from jsDelivr. When your browser loads these, those providers can see your IP address.

How I use your information

I use the details you submit solely to read and reply to your message. I do not use them for marketing, I do not build advertising profiles, and I do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Cookies & tracking

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies of its own and uses no tracking pixels. The only cookies that may be set come from Google reCAPTCHA on the contact page, which are used to provide its bot-protection service.

These providers may process limited data as described above. Their own privacy policies apply:

Data retention

Messages you send remain in my email account for as long as needed to correspond with you and keep a record of the conversation, after which they may be deleted. Hosting and reCAPTCHA logs are retained by Google according to their own policies.

Your rights

As this site is operated from Greece (EU), the GDPR applies. You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data you've shared with me, to object to its processing, and to request a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, just email me (below) and I'll action it promptly.

International transfers

Some third-party providers listed above are based outside the European Economic Area. Where that's the case, they process data under their own safeguards and legal transfer mechanisms.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
